Lush Review: Fizzbanger Bath Bomb

I’ve finally got round to using my Fizzbanger bath from Lush and oh boy was it a good one! I admit, it’s been in my drawer for a long while, so long for that the pooping candy bits actually fell off :( but it was still an amazing bath bomb!

Lush says:

A Catherine wheel of a bath bomb. It changes colour as it fizzes round the tub, crackling with popping candy as it goes and releasing first a citrussy apple and then a cinnamon, apple pie like scent with a hint of ylang ylang. Petitgrain is used in aromatherapy to calm the breathing, slow the heartbeat and reduce feelings of anxiety. Ylang ylang produces a feeling of joy, and cinnamon leaf oil helps you let go.

It definitely smells citrusy, super amazingly smelling. I loved the fact that it went from yellow, to blue, to green. The final product was an amazing green colour and to my surprise there were bubbles too!

I managed to get some amazing images this time round as it was soo sunny in my bathroom. It says that it reduces anxiety and to be honest I did feel really relaxed in the bath, so much so, that I actually wanted a little snooze! My skin also felt smooth and smelt amazing for hours. I would definitely repurchase – no doubt about it!

Fizzbanger is £3.25 and you can get it from in store or on their website here.

P.S. While we are on the subject of their website – it has changed! It takes a lot of getting used too and seems a bit too large and in your face, but it’s become really helpful, showing  you what each bath bomb and bubble bar does! Take a look!

Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

I’m here with a recipe today – chocolate chip cookies! These are so easy to make and taste AMAZING!

The ingredients are –

100g margarine
75g of soft light brown sugar
2tbs golden syrup
175g self raising flour
100g chocolate chips

First up, I cream together the margarine and brown sugar with an electrical whisk (you can use a wooden spoon though, it’s just faster with a whisk!).

After that I add the golden syrup and the flour in the bowl and whisk till it’s nearly a stiff mixture – then I add the chocolate chips, mixing all the ingredients together until it has become a stiff mixture. (Like the image above).

I then use a spoon to ball together the mixture and place on a baking tray. I use grease proof paper, so the cookies won’t stick. I then repeat this until all the mixture is used up. I slightly press down the balls and stick them in the oven at 180C/350F/Gas4. Now this bit is important – COOK THEM FOR 8-10 MINUTES! They should be golden brown on top but still soft and gooey inside.

Take them out of the oven and leave them for a couple of minutes, then carefully use a spatula to get them of the paper and onto a cooling rack.

These taste great warm or cold and are truly the best cookies I have ever tasted! I've experimented a bit and cooked them with marshmallows in, mixed white and dark chocolate chips and I have used a little coco powder to make double chocolate chip cookies!

They literally take about 20-30 minutes to prepare and cook, and one batch usually makes about 20 cookies, depending on the size you want. I actually triple the mixture when I make them hehe, as you can see from the image above (60 cookies there folks..)

Thanks for reading!

Monki Wishlist #1

Monki is a place I’ve shopped at twice now and I’ve always really impressed by their clothes uniqueness and they are pretty affordable too! I’ve put together a wish list of some of the items I’ve fallen in love with.

First up, I’ve fallen in love with this khaki coat, which looks perfect for spring. I’m not much of a dress kinda gal, but this black skater- esque one would be great with tights and boots. Then I have a major obsession with jumpers, that is why I love Winter.. These white and cream jumpers are amazing and I’m loving white for spring, such a crisp colour. For tops, I’m loving two things – cropped and striped. I would definitely love these I’m my wardrobe. This may be a bit too much, but their underwear is so pretty and super affordable as well. This green set is so beautiful. I’m loving the look of these Capri jeans too. Lastly, for accessories, I’ve fallen in love with a cat umbrella – no surprise there Jordannah! I’m in need of a new’s been like 4 months since I bought my last one..jeez come on! This black bag looks so simple. And the big finally is one of their miracle purse! These are truly great, they come in a range of colours and hold so much!

Have you ever bought anything from Monki?
